Job Description

Senior Manager – Finance Operations and Group Account Payable

Purpose of the Job

  • Responsible for finance operations and month-end closing activities for Singapore and group holding legal entities
  • Ensure adoption of Group Accounting Policy and IFRS
  • Responsible for statutory compliance including tax and annual audit
  • Responsible for strong internal controls in local entities
  • Support regional distribution model including working with senior management and cross-functional team
  • Responsible for Global AP policy and processes
  • Works closely with Treasury on cash management and banking relationship
  • Lead SAP FI Module

Job Tasks and Business Decision

  • Oversee the full spectrum of finance operations in Singapore and Global Holding legal entities, including managing a team of 7
  • Timely and accurate submission of financial and management reports
  • Responsible for annual statutory audits, tax filing and any incentive scheme filing
  • Responsible for annual budget and forecast for the 2 legal entities
  • Manage cashflow, FX and banking relationship in Singapore
  • Liaise with external stakeholder such as bankers, auditors, lawyers, corporate secretary, tax agents,
  • Actively work with Senior Management to provide information for decision making
  • Lead SAP FI Module by working with external/internal consultants, regional financial controllers and group finance teams
  • Responsible for Group AP Policy and Processes, including SAP workflow/blueprint document
  • Responsible for standardization and simplification of AP processes globally
  • Responsible for continuous improvement in internal controls, SAP and processes

Required Experience

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, such as ACCA
  • Proficient in English and Chinese Language
  • Preferably 15 years accounting experience in MNC, including 8 years of managerial experience. Experience in chemical industry will be advantageous.
  • 4 years of audit experience is a plus
  • Experience with AP, banking and treasury operations regionally or globally
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Working knowledge of SAP FI module.  System implementation experience is a must.
  • Regional/global experience is a must, especially in a fast pace environment
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills in working with internal stakeholders (subsidiaries, senior management, etc) and external stakeholders (auditors, consultants, etc) in cross cultural, highly matrix environment.
  • Proactive communicator who can work independently with multicultural teams and influence decisions with various global team members
