Senior Expert ABAP And Web Development (MNC/ West)

Job Description

• Support for ABAP developments and Web applications
• Regular training for key users.
• Communicate changes to the key users.
• Pro-actively recognize important potential in processes and applications, and discuss them with the Applications team
• Recognize and log systematic errors.
• Work on strategies to improve known systematic errors or process gaps.
• Implement and communicate approved changes.
• Decide about changes and feasibility of changing processes
• Report about requests, content, consequences for daily use, improvement possibilities, progress of requests to Senior Manager IT Application Asia
• Create and maintain all relevant documentation.
• Support of project team
• Subproject lead
• Communicate changes to the end / Key users.
• Coordinate education of key users
• Communicate with
  • Users in order to analyze and solve problems
  • Users to instruct and inform them about the policies and procedures.
  • Key users and colleagues on progress and improvement ideas.
  • Colleagues in global application team exchange knowledge, best practices, harmonize work methods.
• Propose improvements for processes.
• Generate OSS message for SAP errors.
• Decide about priorities e.g. change requests.
• Decide if changes should be done
• Decide about feasibility of changes
• Delegate issues to external consultants if the estimated effort is within the budget (proactively communicate
• with manager to know the current limit)

 

Responsibilities

• Ensure that tickets are solved
• Take initiatives to adjust the applications and communicate these to the users when changes in the
• organization occur.
• Take initiatives to propose application improvements to the Application team
• Part of projects and rollouts
• Technical Degree
• Minimum 5 years ABAP development and optional Web development
• Expertise and methodology
• Experienced know how in ABAP
• Experienced know how in PSForms (Smartforms, SAPscript)
• Good knowledge in Javascript React
• Good knowledge in PHP
• Basic IDoc, ALE, EDI knowledge
• Experience in developing new tools
• Good SAP know how for all modules
• SAP HANA / SAP HANA migration (nice to have)
