About the Department
UOB Asset Management is a leading Asian asset manager with award-winning investment expertise in fixed income and equities. Headquartered in Singapore, we offer global investment management expertise to individuals, institutions and corporations from a regional network spanning Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, Japan and beyond. Our comprehensive product suite includes innovative solutions covering retail unit trusts, exchange-traded funds and customised portfolio management services.
The Multi Asset Strategy team is responsible for setting the house macro strategy view and managing the multi asset portfolios within UOBAM.
- Maintain GDP forecasts for G3/Asian markets
- Contribute to macro strategy and tactical fund positioning calls
- Support client presentations and written communications
- Co-ordinate with regional offices to maintain house strategy calls that are relevant to the multi-asset teams throughout the region.
- Develop house views on Asian structural trends and geopolitical issues
The role is expected to have a good Degree in Finance or Economics with strong understanding of financial markets, preferably with working knowledge of various Equity, Fixed Income and Derivative investment strategies. At least 7 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably with experience in Asian economics and/or investment strategy. Experience with multiple asset classes, and tactical modeling will be a plus. The role requires strong analytical abilities, and excellent written and presentation communication skills.
