Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the appropriate risk assessment is performance and reviewed for any new operation
  • Establish, implement and maintain the safety & health management system for the factory and recommend changes to any new requirements under the WSH Act and subsidiary legislation
  • Identify any unsafe condition or unsafe work practice and recommend/ implement reasonably practicable measures to correct the situation
  • Monitor safety and health aspect of all projects and workers safe work practices
  • Conduct daily site inspection on work activities to ensure implementation of safe work procedures
  • Investigates accidents/ incidents / dangerous occurrences and recommend remedial measures to prevent any recurrences.
  • Develop, collect and analyse safety indicators and follow up on programmes/ initiatives to improve the overall safety performance
  • Assist management in promoting safety awareness among workers by organizing safety orientations, in house training, etc.
  • Liaise with the relevant authorities pertaining to safety and health matters (eg. Ministry of Manpower, etc)
  • Establish good communication with all level and function within the organization


Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of relevant experiences as a safety professional in a manufacturing plant
  • Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, proactive and results oriented
  • Able to work independently
  • Conversant in Microsoft Office
