Job Description

Trainees will assist the managers in the day-to-day store operations and be exposed to the following responsibilities which include:

  • Achieve department sales targets, goals and objectives
  • Assist to monitor sales figures and contribute inputs for analysis
  • Conduct daily briefing and assist with regular floor walks to maintain high quality in-store display with maximum cleanliness and upkeep of fixtures
  • Manage stock levels and control to ensure stock availability; minimising aged and damaged stock, and minimising stock loss
  • Work closely with buyers and merchandisers to ensure the department shines
  • Handle customer complaints and authorized to offer remedies on behalf of the department
  • Ensure that product knowledge is at its peak among salespeople; assist to conduct shop-floor training to motivate and build the skills of the team
  • Deal with Human Resources matters such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews and counselling, as well as assisting to ensure staff are skilled by providing, recommending or organising training and development by liaising with HR and through own in store initiatives
  • Ensure staff understands and adheres to security and operational procedures
  • Support tradeshows/ roadshows
  • Any other duties assigned by the superior

Knowledge & Experience

  • Preferably with at least 2-3 years’ retail management experience
  • Possess good Management and Leadership qualities
