Roles & Responsibilities
The candidate will help establish a research with the goal of using self-doped conducting polymers and exoelectrogenic bacteria so to achieve a living biocomposite capable of extracting energy from wastewater.
The candidate must have a PhD and a background chemistry. Preferred skills include demonstrated success in establishing how to best combine synthetic elements a living bacteria as a means to extract energy from nutrients or wastewater, and to use the resulting matrices as energy storing devices. Previous experience in setting up a new laboratory is also highly desirable.
