Job Description

Responsibilities

In charge of 10 subsidiaries’ (India (2), Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Vietnam and Thailand) tax management and lead various region-wide projects by planning & implementation to form more efficient tax organization. To motivate its tax members of the subsidiaries to improve tax capability of subsidiaries’ as well as Asia Tax Center to a higher level. Also to support for Asia Tax Center focus on advance tax risk management and tax planning. Details as follows:-

 

Identify opportunities for maximizing cash flow and minimizing effective tax rate

  • Detect tax issues and tax saving opportunities through Interim Tax Compliance check in advance

 

Monitor and manage tax issues and build up tax capability

  • Find out tax issues and solutions through local tax education courses & quarterly evaluation, and cross participation in other subsidiary’s tax Process check project
  • Set up the optimal subsidiaries’ tax risk management organization

 

Maintain highest standards of compliance and integrity

  • Achieve tax issue integrity through strengthening tax risk monitoring system

 

Improve process

  • Tax center internal development
  • Set up and standardize Tax Center job process, tax issue management guidelines for subsidiaries, and evaluation process

 

Others

  • Design tax strategy
  • Lead tax project planning & implementation
  • Support front-end growth of the department

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Tax / Business / Accounting
  • At least 8 years of various tax experiences including MNCs and Big 4 (min 4 years)
  • Experience and strong knowledge of tax related legislations
  • Ability to evaluate complex proposals, identify, and resolve tax-related risks
  • Demonstrated communication skills at all levels
  • Self-starter, pro-active and hands on attitude, no nonsense approach
  • Strong team player with the ability to lead and coach
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines
  • Able to commence work within short notice period
