Job Description

  • To represent the company in negotiating contracts and trade deals with suppliers
  • Support various departments in material sourcing. This includes supply chain management on material pricing, project management, payment terms, order fulfilment and timely delivery
  • Liaise with various department on material specifications, simultaneously ensuring cost control
  • Monitor and analyse pricing and market trends to identify opportunities and threats
  • Identifies cost savings opportunities through ‘make or buy’, cost-benefit analysis, Cost Benchmarking and RFQ analysis
  • Analyse monthly purchases report, consumption/pricing and make recommendations
  • Continuously source (locally or overseas) for more competitive/alternate materials taking into consideration price, quality and reliability
  • To prepare and process requisitions & purchase orders from suppliers/ vendors and ensure proper documentation
  • Maintain and improve current/ new vendor/ supplier relationships
  • Provide recommendation on new innovation that may benefit the company
  • Prepare submission of weekly/ monthly reports
  • Any other related projects assigned



  • At least 5 years’ experience in material sourcing, supply chain management, purchasing or related fields is required for this position
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Able to work independently whilst being a strong team player
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree (in Supply Chain Management/ Purchasing & Materials Management or relevant field)
