Job Description

Purchaser

JOB DESCRIPTION
Material sourcing and liaising with suppliers
Issuing of purchase order and delivery order
Follow up and expedite on delivery of urgent required materials
Monitoring stock balance
Liaising and verifying with Accounts Department regarding invoices, price and delivery acknowledgements

 

Purchaser (Construction Industry)

Issuing of purchase orders, sourcing,liaising, negotiating and follow-up with suppliers documentation, pricing, quality,etc.
Coordinate with local suppliers and ensure on-time deliveries
Coordinate purchase activities with internal departments and external parties
Develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate
Take a leading role in the development of new and existing suppliers to support current and long term sourcing needs
To establish and maintain orderly filing and documentation
Other ad-hoc duties and miscellaneous administrative job
Perform any other duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements:
Diploma in Purchasing Management or equivalent
Min 2-3 years relevant working experience in construction industry
Strong Negotiation skill
Excellent organizational, communication and problem resolution skills
Good team player with initiative and enthusiasm
Able to commence work on short notice preferred
