Job Description



Outreach
  • Promote parenting and other family-related programmes and activities to parents
  • Encourage all parents to attend parenting programmes, such as through notices, emails, SMS, WhatsApp messages and telephone calls
  • Partner Family Life Educators, School Leaders, teachers and counsellors to engage parents from higher-risk groups more intensively


  • Coordinate
  • Partner Family Life Educators to identify parents needs and recommend appropriate programmes to schools
  • Schedule programmes, coordinate parents' attendance and organise the programmes with logistical support and premises provided by schools


  • Follow-up
  • Provide administrative support to the school's Vice-Principal and Administration Manager on payment for programmes to the relevant providers through IFAAS
  • Collate parents' and schools' feedback on parenting programmes and work with the Family Life Educator to identify areas for improvement


  • Admin and Programme Support
  • Provide administrative and programme support for the centre as needed


  • Ad-hoc Duties
  • To provide any other support as assigned/required







  • Qualification
    • Diploma in social work or another relevant field


    Experience
    • At least 1 years of programme planning experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment
    • Prior experience as a social worker or counsellor would be advantageous
    • Fresh graduates may also apply

    • People Management: Experience of managing and developing staff
    • Communications: Excellent oral, written and inter-personal communications skills in dealing with individuals and groups at all levels
    • Functional: Excellent working knowledge of social service practices
    • Community: Experience in attracting, building capabilities and retaining volunteers
    • Basic Planning: The ability to design initiatives to achieve expected objectives with the resources allocated
    • Basic Legal: Basic knowledge of various legal and statutory requirements related to social service
    • Analytical Ability, Problem Solving & Strategic Thinking: The ability to assimilate and analyse information quickly and accurately and to think strategically, formulate decisions and make recommendations for the long-term
