Job Description

Job Role Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Identify trading opportunities and work with traders to develop trading strategies
  • Develop and recommend product trading tactics and strategies based on in-depth and data-driven market analysis
  • Track and analyze market trading activities and generate actionable insights including production, import / export levels, buy / sell timing, market structure and pricing effect analysis
  • Anchor local market understanding in global outlet by product
  • Drive end-to-end understanding of tributary market dynamics including specification / regulatory / fiscal changes, outlook for run rates and production, import / export source, destination, method and cost of transportation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering or related field from a recognized university
  • Minimum five years of working experience in oil and gas trading, blending, or supply
  • Good understanding of global oil markets and refining
  • Excellent analytical thinking and ability to leverage analytical tools (Tableau desktop, Excel, Reuters, Market View, Publications etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to work well in teams and influence without formal authority
