Job Description

Process Engineer


To ensure products produced meet the quality requirement of the product and customers.

To develop or improve processes to gain productivity, efficiency and quality while reducing costs.

To qualify new materials, products and processes.

To co-ordinate NPI/NPQ activities with details and meet timeline.

Conduct supplier sourcing and qualification activities jointly with Purchasing, Engineering and Quality departments.

To support and resolve daily technical issues in operations.

To support analysis of failures from yield loss, reliability failures, new products and new materials.

To support company's new initiatives such as development of new tape and new material.

To benchmark new material and equipment technology in the market.

To support the quality and sales team in customer initiatives such as process improvement and yield improvement.

Ability to maintain, repair and troubleshoot assembly and test machines.

Ability to schedule and perform periodic maintenance on assembly and test machines.

Develop and update standard operating procedure when required.

Conduct training on new equipment and process.

Support audit process perform on company by customers and external agencies.

Support and comply to the environmental, health, safety and security-related procedures and policies of the company.

Liaise with external vendor to resolve technical issues of the company.

To support additional requests from the management.



Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electronic or Material Science.

Minimum 5 years working in manufacturing environment, preferably in semicon assembly and test environment.

Experience in assembly and test processes of dicing, die attach, wire bond, encapsulation and testing.

Experience in maintenance of assembly and test machines of dicing, die attach, wire bond, encapsulation and testing.

Knowledge in material science of the mateials used in assembly of IC chips.

Knowledge in FMEA, SPC, OCAP, DOE. Knowledge in ISO9001:2000, ISO14001:2004, QEMS, CQM, JEDEC.

Proven project management skill and meticulous to details.

Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Good team player, able to work indepedently, resourceful, willing to learn new skills and with good initiatives. Good in problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience in Mahlbauer machines will be an added advantage.
