PERM Regulatory Compliance Deputy Manager (Private Banking, Up to $7,000)

Jobs Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Compliance to implement compliance processes to ensure that they comply with regulatory requirements
• Maintain and review compliance policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with all applicable laws
• Advise and report on changes in the regulatory and compliance environment
• Liaise and support business units on compliance issues
• Handle ad-hoc assignments
• To support all compliance (non-Anti Money Laundering) related matters relating to new Private Banking business. This would include drafting and implementation of Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures to cover the following topics (non-exhaustive):
  • Representative Notification Framework
  • Sales practices and mis-selling
  • Customer risk profile and suitability checks including customer knowledge and experience
  • Ethics and code of conduct
  • Product / services fees and charges disclosure requirements
  • Cross-border marketing

Job Requirements

• Min. Degree
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within the financial services industry, of which a minimum of 3 years within private banking compliance function.
• Good knowledge of MAS regulatory requirements, Banking Act, SFA/FAA, ABS Private Banking Code of Conduct and other relevant banking regulations
• Well-versed in private banking compliance frameworks including product suitability checks and customer disclosure requirements.
