Job Scope:

  • In charge of assisting Head Chef in cooking baking bread and pastry
  • Adhering to, and enforcing SOPs for the kitchen team to prepare (mise-en-place/cooking) menu items
  • Liaising with sales managers regarding details of clients’ events
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Controlling and managing the food cost percentage as set out by the Company
  • Ensuring the overall cleanliness and well-being of kitchen premise
  • Ordering of stock
  • Occasional conducting of interviews for part-time kitchen staff
  • Ability to come up with menu items
  • Communicate effectively and manage junior chefs/cooks under your charge
  • Ensure food hygiene levels are adhered to

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of bread baking such as rustic breads (brioche, sourdough, focaccia, sandwich bread)
  • Able to make various types of granola
  • Bake tray and round cakes (cheesecakes, chiffon cakes, other types of cakes)
  • Able to accept customization of cakes based on client’s requirements
  • High level of personal hygiene and grooming
