Pastry Head Chef
We are looking for an experienced Pastry Head Chef to prepare a variety of desserts, pastries or other sweet goods. Your skill in baking high quality treats should be matched by your creativity to develop new amazing tastes and recipes.
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, chocolates etc. following traditional and modern recipes
- Monitor stocks for ingredients and make appropriate orders within budget
- Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking
- Guide and motivate pastry assistants to work more efficiently
- Hire necessary personnel so that the kitchen function smoothly.
- Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Assist in positive outcomes from customer queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets.
- Run daily operations to meet existing production demands.
Qualifications and requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of previous experience as Pastry chef
- Strong coaching skills
- Pleasant personality with the ability to work independently.
- Strong leadership, energetic, organized and self-motivated.
- Achieved basic food hygiene certificate
- Ability to work under pressure
- Can start work immediately
- Salary S$4,500 - S$6,000
