Job Description

  • Provide department induction programme for new staff
  • Update daily staff attendance
  • Trainer for the department
  • Continuously review and improve counter processes
  • Involved in audit and accreditation audit process support
  • Record staff errors and conduct investigations pertaining to Billing error
  • Registration, billing, scheduling of follow up appointments
  • Explain to patients on the scheme of payments and charges
  • Attend to enquiries from patients and members of the public
  • Comply with counter closing procedures at the end of the day
  • Clear walk-off cases before counter closing for complete shift
  • Investigate counter collection discrepancies and rectify as necessary
  • Keeping abreast on changes in the clinic operational policies and procedures by attending briefings and meetings
  • Maintain tidiness of the counters at all times
  • Perform witnessing of counter closing and handover of total counter collections at end of the day and list of cancellation report
  • Assist in preparing and distributing cash floats
  • Orientate and conduct on-job-training for new/ junior staff
  • Demonstrate competencies in problem solving
  • Assist junior staff in handling difficult patients
  • Complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision
  • Ensure that counter duties are smooth in a timely, efficient, and knowledgeable manner
  • Participate in work improvement discussions and implementations on clinic operations
  • Work as a member or leader on projects that are important to area/ process improvement
  • Attend to patients' complaints and provide service recovery when necessary
  • Continuously assess counter staff to ensure that consistent and compliant practices are carried out
  • Assist in staff rostering, deployment, leave management and claims matter
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance. Conduct staff counselling when required
  • Conduct briefing to staff when there are changes in workflows and processes

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Min Degree in any discipline
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Prior PSA experience would be advantageous
