Areas of focus for this posting are CVD and PVD. As an Operations Central Team (OCT) Process and Equipment Engineering KEG Manager at Micron Technology, Inc. you will be responsible for driving improvements to manufacturing capability, delivering industry benchmark methods at the lowest cost, and managing the execution of global business processes in your unit process area(s) of responsibility. You will execute to this by focusing on manufacturing big rock performance optimization, and ensure priorities are aligned to Micron business plan and/or Strategic Objective requirements across manufacturing sites.

Your objective is to leverage global internal and external resources to define and enable equipment roadmaps, execute business processes, and drive network process and equipment alignment to achieve world-class manufacturing performance. Examples include leveraging suppliers to achieve benchmark manufacturing performance, discovery and implementation of equipment and process safety best methods (BKM), equipment utilization optimization, thru-put optimization, cash cost optimization, and continuous improvement project prioritization and execution to project timelines.

This position requires interfacing with R & D and Procurement as well as interaction with equipment and materials suppliers to drive area manufacturing issues forward and establish area improvement roadmaps. You must be willing and capable of effective collaboration with SITES, R and D, Procurement, Quality Engineering, Business units, other OCT departments, and external suppliers to accomplish your objectives. You must also be willing and capable of international travel, as needed, to accomplish your objectives.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Drive Improvements in Manufacturing Capability and Efficiency in Your Area(s) of Responsibility

  • Drive sites globally to ensure alignment on strategy and roadmap to achieve area objectives; ensure strategy and roadmap are aligned to improvement in big rock performance and ensure equipment roadmap is defined to meet those requirements; Track alignment decisions and hold accountability to those decisions in cases where sites deviate from the roadmap/path.

  • Interface with R & D on future technology requirements and model of record requirements to ensure manufacturing roadmap is aligned with the forward technology path; work with R and D on supplier engagement to ensure resources are aligned to meet Micron strategic objectives.

  • Interface with procurement global supplier account managers to ensure technical requirements feed into procurement strategies for suppliers.

  • Interface with corporate EHSS and site Process Hazard Analysis engineers to ensure process safety requirements are met.

  • Interface with strategic suppliers to ensure priorities are aligned to operations objectives and area(s) strategy/roadmap. Leverage suppliers as resources for Operations.

Deliver Industry Benchmark Methods at the Lowest Cost in Your Area(s) Of Responsibility

  • Engage externally with Suppliers and/or industry consultants to collect benchmarking data/knowledge and ensure this information feeds into FLT strategies; Leverage this knowledge/data to drive priorities and close gaps in performance and feed into equipment roadmaps.

  • Execute quarterly internal benchmarking to identify gaps in performance for your area(s) of responsibility. Prioritize those gaps to meet site and corporate business plan needs, and focus resources (internally across network and/or externally with Suppliers) to close the gaps.

Drive Execution of Global PEE Business Processes

  • Manage and execute TOR and MTEP requirements to ensure Capital business process and MOR runs effectively for your area(s).

  • Manage and execute to ERM priorities/projects and drive Operations Roadmap for your area(s) of responsibility; Leverage suppliers to meet performance requirements.

  • Resource OCT priorities with project managers as needed.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Current or previous M1 /M2 experience in MFG or R& D operations

Management/Leadership at or above M1 level,
