Job Description

Working Location: East
Regular hours monday to Friday, Saturday on shift
Up to $4700 depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Required to manage a team for ocean export operations
  • Plan and organise day to day cargo shipments (FCL/LCL)
  • Responsible for day to day operations
  • Liaise and coordinate with Carriers, NVOCC and VOC/ Co-loaders for export shipment bookings accordingly 
  • Maintain and continuously develop good relationship with the Carriers, NVOCC and VOC/ Co-loaders
  • Meetup with Carriers, NVOCC and VOC/ Co-loaders for better buying and negotiation for freight rates and space slot
  • Answer phone calls and email inquiries from vendors, overseas agents / partners and companies
  • Working together with other departments (Sales Team / Customer Service Team etc.)

 

Requirements:

  • In depth knowledge of export freight operations and dangerous goods regulations
  • Good geographical knowledge (inland/worldwide)
  • Knowledge of claims handling procedure
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Good knowledge of MS office, Experience in EDI
  • Candidates with Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in any field 
  • At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required, Senior/Junior Executive specialized in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent.
