Job Description
Our client, a relationship focused, service oriented provider of high impact, high performance information technology solutions, is currently seeking for Network Engineer.
Basic salary up to $4500
5 days work week (9am-6pm)
Location: Central (Redhill)
Role & Responsibilities:
- Support project planning and align them with IT project plans
- Support the project manager(s) and sales team in various activities to ensure timely delivery/closure on business critical issues according to customer expectation.
- Supports new projects, OS installations, upgrades, patches and creation of documentation
- Supports incidents, security, performance and standards compliance issues
- Supports the roll-out of new applications
- Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
- Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
- Configuring firwalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
- Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Investigating faults in network
- Updating network equipment to the latest firmeare releases
- Reporting network status to key stakeholders
- Setting up new users' accounts, profiles and dealing with password issues
- Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs
- Managing subcontractors involved with network installation
- Ensure an efficient tracking system of all paper-work
- Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals
- Review and conduct impact analysis of IT infrastructure requirements and issues
- Provide support for customer calls to ensure SLAs are kept and identify potential relationship disturbances.
- Analyze customer satisfaction, identify, manage and help resolve IT related issues that negatively influence the relationship to the customer
- Work within a team environment to ensure availability of customer’s servers with significant business or IT impact
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-year experience in cluster / networking domain
- Diploma / Degree in Computing, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Equivalent
- Working knowledge in experience with WINTEL servers and Microsoft Operating Systems
- Good knowledge of Router configuration, Network and Printer setup, Security Appliances
- Understanding of/and commitment to IT as a service function and business enabler
- Knowledge should extend through operating System Support, Server Virtualization, server builds, LAN Administration and LAN Server Centre operations;
- Knowledge in using reporting tools would be preferred
- Knowledge in basic implementation of secure cloud infrastructure
- Strong documentation skills
