Microbiology Lab Technologist

Jobscope:

• Receive, process and perform microbiological investigations on clinical specimens for the identification of micro-organisms and perform appropriate antimicrobial susceptibility tests
• Ensure the release of accurate and timely reports to clinicians and manage telephone enquiries pertaining to test results
• Assist in quality assurance processes and quality control procedures according to established recommendations
• Participate in quality assurance programmes
• Assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment and housekeeping
• Participate in on going in-house continual professional development classes

Requirements:

• Min Degree in Biomedical Sciences or other related field
• Min 2 years of experience
• Able to start work on short notice
