Job Description

· Prepare wet and dry ingredients prior to start of class

· Conduct stock taking twice a week

· Submit ingredients replenishment orders twice a week

· Place prepped ingredients on the workstations/chillers for the upcoming classes

· Assist chefs for classes (whenever necessary)

· Check and prepare the utensils that will be used by the class as per the instruction from the Chef (whenever necessary)

· Assist the Chef in managing the class including giving the instruction to the students on how to do the baking (whenever necessary)

· Monitor the ovens (preheat, during the baking and also turn off after using). Do not use functions of the ovens that are not been instructed as some functions in built in ovens are not meant to be used. (whenever necessary)

· Clean the work stations (including the utensils and props) before leaving the premise, ensure that all utensils are in order and place them back into the drawer / cabinets (whenever necessary)

· Assist students in labeling the trays (if necessary) to prevent mixed ups (whenever necessary)

· Assist students during the class to ensure that they follow the methods as trained by the Chef (whenever necessary)

· Clean the surface as and when there’s spillage to prevent accident from happening (whenever necessary)

· Cleaning kitchen area and ensuring that all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean and accounted for

· Ensure all the rubbish bins are cleared inside the kitchen

· Clean and disinfect all the glass panels, doors and tables

· Clean the dust on the walls

· Top up hand soap, dishwashing liquid

· Mop the floor

· Wipe the exterior of the cabinets and ovens

· Clean the sink basin

· Other duties as assigned
