Job Description

JOB SCOPE

  • Participate in enterprise architecture development, including business architecture, information architecture, application portfolio and technical architecture.
  • Work with enterprise architects and key organizational stakeholders to define a strategic plan for leveraging information assets as part of the enterprise architecture. Provide the organization with a future-state view of the information landscape that is unencumbered by the specific data implementation details imposed by legacy solutions or technologies.
  • Seek ways to apply new technology to, and reuse existing technology for, business processes. Research and provide information on technical trends and competitors' practices relevant to particular business verticals.
  • Assess near-term needs and long term strategies to establish business solution priorities. Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system integrations.
  • Assess the benefits and the risks of information assets to create an information-centric view to visualize what information matters most to the organization based on the defined business strategy.
  • By partnering with business unit leadership, and through the rationalization of the information value chain, the information architect will provide strategic, information-based recommendations to protect the organization from disruptions while also embracing innovation.
  • Analyze data security requirements and solutions, and working with the chief information security officer (CISO) and to ensure that data is treated as a protected asset.
  • Foster value creation using the organization's data assets, as well as the external data ecosystem. This includes aiding value creation through data exploitation, envisioning data-enabled strategies, as well as enabling all forms of business outcomes through analytics, data and analytics governance, and enterprise information policy.  The information architect will provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access and use.
  • Champion efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities, such as master data management (MDM), metadata management, analytics, content management, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components.
  • Aid in the analysis of data and analytics security requirements and solutions, and work with the chief information security officer (CISO) and compliance organizations to ensure that enterprise data and analytics assets are treated as a protected assets.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education Level

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or related discipline, required
  • Advance degree in technology a plus

Experience

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Hands-on experience with implementing data and analytics management programs is preferred.
  • In-depth experience of designing and implementing information solutions.
  • Three to five years' experience as a data analyst is highly desirable.

Communication Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical peers and business stakeholders, as well as executive or board level management.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in a multicultural, multinational environment and in cross-functional matrixed teams
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills and an ability to engage audiences
  • Ability to represent information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language, including using modeling languages, developing process flows, creating data and topology diagrams, etc.

  • Deep understanding of hospitality and gaming business processes and industry constraints (e.g., compliance)

  • Experience with distributed management and analytics in cloud and hybrid environments. Also an understanding of a variety of data access and analytics approaches (for example, microservices and event-based architectures).
  • Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models.
  • Knowledge of existing, new and emerging technologies and being able to practically them to new business designs and business models
  • Familiarity with MDM, BI, and data warehouse design and implementation techniques.
  • Experience with modern data architecture design and governance
  • Experience with service and integration architecture design and deployment
  • Experience with software interaction with databases such as DB2, Oracle, MS SQL and others
  • Knowledge of UML modeling techniques and Business Process Modeling
  • Understanding of various Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies
  • Current knowledge of Identity strategies and application integrations including; LDAP, Kerberos, SAML
