Helpdesk & Desktop Engineer (5 Openings) – KL, Malaysia

 

Primary Responsibilities:

A) Helpdesk Engineer (3 Openings)

  1. Provide first level IT supports for software and hardware incidents and service requests for workstation (desktop/notebook), printer, network, Voice (IP phone), Microsoft Office, smart device/corporate mobile phone and etc via multiple channels (e.g. by telephone, chat and web).
  2. Learning and sharing knowledge in different forms, from contributing with articles in the Knowledge Database up to delivering training or facilitating forums.
  3. Represent the End Users’ needs and issues, escalate situations as required.
  4. Communicate with Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management and respective support team.
  5. Any ad-hoc IT tasks when assigned.

 

B) Desktop Engineer (2 Openings)

  1. Provide Level 1.5 IT supports such as workstation setting, printer setting, wireless setting etc for end users via remote desktop tools.
  2. Provide on-site support for workstation hardware, workstation applications, emails, printer, Voice (IP phone), smart device/ corporate mobile phone mobile phone and network related issues.
  3. Install, de-install, configure and support MS Windows OS, MS Windows applications and others user’s application.
  4. Perform on-site break/fix problem troubleshooting and resolution.
  5. Perform hardware and software install, move, add and changes.
  6. Invoke problem escalation process to next level of support.
  7. Learning and sharing knowledge in different forms, from contributing with articles in the Knowledge Database up to delivering training or facilitating forums.
  8. Communicate with Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management and respective support team.
  9. Handle the ticket support – web ticket support. If tickets related workstation setting or scope of L1 or L1.5, provide the support directly.
  10. Perform hardware/ system relocation and configuration.
  11. Any ad-hoc IT tasks when assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

  1. Diploma / Degree holder in Information Technology / Computer Science or IT related training / ITIL Certificate. Fresh graduates with good knowledge on overall IT supports, customer services and attitude are welcomed.
  2. Working knowledge in PC hardware/software, printer, Voice (IP phone), networking equipment, smart device/ corporate mobile phone and IT Applications such as MS Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Words), Video/Conference Call, Antivirus Products etc.
  3. Experience with ticketing tool – RemedyForce or ServiceNow.
  4. Fluent in Cantonese (to deal with Cantonese speaking oversea users), English and Malay preferred.
  5. Good in customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Good in troubleshooting, task prioritizing and problem-solving skills.
  7. Good team player.
  8. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
  9. Willing to overtime, or standby (weekend included) when needed.
  10. Willing working shift basis (Covering all Asia country normal working hours – late evening of Malaysia time).
  11. Malaysian or Malaysia PR.

 

* More experienced candidates will be considered for senior role.
