Roles & Responsibilities

What to Expect:
  • General Ledger (GL) Operations 
    • Review GL master data creations and maintenance (includes GL a/c, Commitment Item, Cost Element, Cost Centre, Fund Centre and Fund Codes)
    • Ensure timeliness in monthly closing
    • Manage outsource payroll recon vendor and review payroll journals
    • GL module process lead for ACE Financial System
    • Review audit schedules for completeness and accuracy
    • CorpPass Administrator 
  • Financial Reporting 
    • Plan, co-ordinate and liaise with auditors on all statutory financial audit matters relating to the Board’s and Group’s accounts to ensure that it is completed within stipulated timeline
    • Prepare financial statements of the Board and Group accounts for statutory audit
    • Ensure GovTech and its subsidiaries’ accounts are in compliance with Financial Reporting Standards for Statutory Boards, GovTech’s policies and procedures, relevant government IMs and circulars
    • Liaise with subsidiaries on matters relating to statutory audit
    • Co-ordinate returns on financial reporting required by Ministries and Department of Statistics
    • Dividend computation and submission to MOF
    • Monthly review of overall GovTech Financials and consolidate FCOT GL statistics for monthly dashboard reporting
    • Provide advice on Financial Reporting Standard for Statutory Board to the business units
  • Finance Policies
    • Develop, review and implement finance policies to ensure optimal balance between effective governance and efficient operations
    • Provide advice to business units on the applications of finance policies
How to Succeed:
  • Professional Degree in Accountancy and membership in an internationally recognized accounting body
  • At least 5 years working experience in Financial Accounting
  • Requires supervisory experience in a similar capacity
  • Sound knowledge of the relevant Acts e.g. GST Act, Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards, local laws and legislations
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous and analytical
