Job Description

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to the Finance Department in managing the accounting, financial and investment operations of the organization in compliance with regulatory requirements and the Charities Code of Governance
  • Conduct strategic planning, cash flow planning and budgeting
  • Review, develop and implement sound financial policies, processes and procedures and ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal control requirements
  • Manage banking facilities and financing, including the design and set up of electronic payment systems and related financial and governance policies
  • Account for capex spending, including building projects
  • Review, recommend and renew all insurance policies to protect the interests of the organization
  • Prepare and present high level budget and analysis, including investment reports, for the Board’s approval
  • Assist the Board Treasurer, Audit Committee and Investment Committee in all accounting, financial, audit and investment matters

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications with CPA
  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience
  • Good understanding of Code of Governance, Charities Accounting & FRS
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting (e.g. Microsoft Dynamic Nav Classic accounting software) as well as experience in establishing e-payment systems and policies
  • Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
