As Finance Manager, you will be part of the supervisory team within our Finance team, reporting to the Finance Controller. Our Finance team provides efficient and zero-defect finance operations support and internal financial controls within the spectrum of all of the group’s entities. They are responsible for providing timely, accurate, clear and complete financial information to support our operating venues and management in decision-making. We partner with our operations and assist them with business and scenario planning.

In the role of Finance Manager, you will manage and drive the outcomes of the finance team, including the delivery of high-quality reports and business partnering. You will ensure that all internal and statutory timelines are met, while ensuring that the team’s workload is balanced and bottlenecks are addressed promptly. You will oversee the personal and professional growth of the team, providing them with a meaningful and positive work experience, and resolving any conflicts or frustrations that arise. You will train and coach the team to be proficient with internal processes and standards, reviewing their work before key submission to both internal stakeholders and statutory entities.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and implement accounting policies, standards, and processes to ensure consistent and high-quality output by the finance team. You will be charged with identifying and integrating the best-in-class finance systems and technology (e.g. expense claims, approval workflow, etc.) to work seamlessly with our existing accounting system, processes, and other group-wide systems (e.g. HR system, payroll system, POS system, etc.).

Relating to reporting, you will reconcile account balances and bank statements and maintain general ledger with detailed and comprehensive schedules. You will take full ownership over the accuracy of all transactions under assigned entities (including transactions processed by finance operations team), while maintaining filing and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with Company policy and accepted accounting practices. You will handle the full sets of accounts which includes month-end and year-end closing and ensure the completion of scheduled (monthly, quarterly, year-end) corporate financial and management reports. You will prepare tax submission of annual corporate returns and quarterly GST returns, and IRAS tax queries if any, and liaise with internal and external parties where appropriate on audit requirements, tax and government grant or related matters.

As a business partner, you will highlight financial underperformance based on a monthly management report. You will generate monthly reports and/or presentations for senior management during monthly finance updates. You will perform financial projections for entities and drive the bi-annual budgeting process. You will have the ability to run cost variance reports based on actuals and expected spend and be able to communicate effectively with operations, management, government agencies, vendors and all other stakeholders.

In the aspect of controls, you will review and approve payments prepared by the Finance operations team before disbursement. You will also enforce finance policies and internal controls measures. You must have the ability to detect fraud or policy abuse and highlight these circumstances to senior management. You will highlight financial underperformance based on monthly management reports, generate monthly reports and/or presentations for senior management of monthly finance performance. You will perform financial projections for entities and drive bi-annual budgeting process with your stakeholders.



Ideally, you will have between five to seven years of relevant working experience, preferably in Food & Beverage or Hospitality; of which you would have been in a supervisory role leading a team of at least 5 members.

You would have possessed relevant professional qualifications and/or certifications (eg. ACCA, CPA) in Accounting & Finance.

You are proficient and/or familiar with Xero accounting system, Microsoft Office applications, and Gsuite applications, with advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel/Google Spreadsheet.

You will have demonstrated ability to implement finance processes and systems, and ideally have led an accounting system migration or system implementation project.

You have a strong grasp of accounting protocol and expert knowledge of industry standards.

You would possess exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire the team and the ability to resolve conflicts and build rapport effectively. You will have a high degree of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while taking ownership of the outcomes of your team’s work.
