Job Description

As a Fab13 Production Operator at Micron Technology, Inc., you will operate various equipments in the manufacturing cleanroom to achieve daily output targets by following standard operating procedures to ensure quality of the products. You will maintain effective communication with peers and supporting groups in order to update the status of Fab activities. You will also be asked to actively participate into continuous improvement activities, as well as observe and follow all the safety procedures.


Responsibilities and Tasks


Operate various equipments to achieve daily output targets


•  Follow Bay Leader instructions to decide priority


•  Use WIPPER software to maximize tools utilization


•  Transfer wafer pods from Stockers to process tools and vice versa


•  Update tools status in Workstream (WSO)


•  Execute visual inspections when required


Maintain quality of products


•  Stop tools in case of tools alarm or process out-of-control (SPC)


•  Conduct tool qualifications as per schedule


•  Hold lots when encounter tools alarm, automation fails and process out-of-control


•  Execute metrology evaluations when required


•  Execute lots processing according to process-time-window limitations


•  Execute lots processing according to Safe Parking limitations


Maintain communication with peers and supporting groups


•  Call Engineer when tools alarm or process out-of-control (SPC)


•  Call supporting functions in case of tools problems


•  Communicate with Engineering for special instructions


•  Maintain proper handing over during shift change


•  Receive priorities updates from Bayleader or Supervisor


•  Feedback any outstanding problems to Bayleader


•  Communicate with other areas to optimize tools loading and process-time-window limitations


Contribute to the continuous improvements


•  Highlight any weakness in work procedures


•  Propose improvement in own areas of work


•  Participate into discussion for improvement activity


•  Provide Buddy supports for OJT of new trainees


Follow all the Safety Procedures


•  Follow all safety procedures


•  Maintain good housekeeping at workareas


•  Report of any unsafe working conditions


•  Participate in all workplace safety exercises






•  General Studies


•  Related field of study


Additional Information:


General Secondary Education: Min Secondary 2 level education





1 year experience in any of the following:

•  Production/Manufacturing

1) Able to speak and write simple English 2) Basic computer knowledge

•  Have good knowledge of area process flows


•  Possesses basic verbal, written, communication and mathematics skills
