Job Summary

Shift Operations Engineer (Compress-Work-Week)

  • The Facilities Operation Shift Engineer oversees safe and proper operation of plant utilities equipment and systems in compliance with specification
  • Together as a team, Facilities Operation Shift Engineer focus to provide uninterrupted supply of plant utilities and facilities services, on a 24/7 basis to support Fab Production operation
  • The Facilities Operation Shift Engineer will overseas shift operation team and monitor plant utilities and facilities system through the FMCS (Facilities Monitoring and Control System) System
  • The Facilities Operation Shift Engineer is required to response to plant emergency situations as an ERT SIC (Emergency Response Team Site Incident Controller) member.
  • The Facilities Operation Shift Engineer will deal with day-to-day facilities activities and follow up on outstanding issues related to Facilities Operation matter with minimal supervision
  • The Facilities Operation Shift Engineer is required to collaborate with Fab Production on a regular basis to ensure day-to-day facilities services meet expectation
  • The Facilities Operation Shift Engineer support training, EQCC/QCC and development to his peer Technicians
  • The Facilities Operation Shift Engineer Works with other areas, customers and vendors to fine-tune processes and develop process improvement and efficiency. 
  • The Facilities Operation Shift Engineer organizes/leads teams and provides expert guidance in using a systematic approach to solve complex and challenging problems that involve multiple variables. 
  • The Facilities Operation Shift Engineer writes significant SOP, Checklist, procedure documentation, reports, and proposals for operations.  
  • The Facilities Operation Engineer administer the Permit-To-Work
  • Review and administer SCADA alarm management , Daily KPIs and E – Log items
  • The Facilities Operation Shift Engineer strives for improvement by continually seeking training, personal development, and learning opportunities from resources outside of Facilities area/fabs. 
  • Support cost saving projects



Job Responsibilities

Shift Operations Engineer (Compress-Work-Week)

  • Supervise Safe and proper operation of facilities equipments and system
  • Monitor and manage facilities equipments and system through FMCS or equivalent like Life safety systems
  • Respond swiftly to out-of-specification or abnormal condition affecting production or the site in general
  • Escalate in a timely manner to out-of-specification or abnormal condition to relevant parties 
  • Restore facilities services in a timely manner to minimize interruption to production or the site
  • Response to facilities service request
  • Support and implement operating procedures and risk assessments  for all facilities system and facilities related work activities
  • Coordinate maintenance or installation activities for operating facilities system and equipment on the site
  • Lead accurate pass down of information to next shift
  • Execute shift routines and overseas shift team activities
  • Follow up on incident or service interruption with system owners
  • Co-ordinates and interface with internal and external parties for facilities operation related activities
  • Prioritize and organize work on the shift
  • Lead for the shift operations ERT (Emergency Response Team)
  • Co-chair Facilities Daily Operation morning meeting with Facilities Operations Section Manager
  • Coordinate and manage permit work system / SIPP through control room
  • Proactively coaches and mentors others on complex tasks, concepts, and theories. 
  • Act as back up for Operations Manager functional scope if required
  • The Facilities Operation Engineer administer the Permit-To-Work
