Job Description


• Permanent
•  Sentosa
•  7am to 11pm (Monday to Friday), 12.30pm to 3pm on SUNDAY.
•  $2000 - $2400

Job Responsibilities:


  • To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combination and upsell alternatives.
  • To ensure that the outlet cashiering procedures are strictly adhered to


  • Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships
  • Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest comments and other relevant information
  • Attends and participates in daily line ups and other meetings as scheduled
  • Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
  • To assign responsibilities to subordinates implementing Multi Tasking principle and to check their performance periodically


  • Carries out effective service by ensuring:
    • Guests are greeted and seated
    • Guests name are used discreetly whenever possible
    • Daily beverage specials are explained and up-sold
    • Food orders are processed accurately
    • Trays and tray jacks are effectively used
    • Food and beverage orders are taken quickly and accurately
    • Guest satisfaction are check during magic minute
    • Guests are conversed with in relation to the food and beverage products
    • Payment methods are handled accurately
    • Guest preference are collected and updated
    • Working areas are cleaned and re-set quickly
    • Work Station is clean
    • Used ashtrays are regularly cleaned if applicable
  • Carries out effective beverage service by ensuring:
    • Beverages are up-sold and regularly replenished, abiding by responsible alcohol service regulations
    • Converse with Guests about wine, advising the types and styles of wine, taking wine orders and serving wine
    • Promoting and selling cocktails to guests
    • Making and presenting cocktails / if applicable
    • Coffee and tea is served hot and in accordance with standard
    • Patron care standards are adhered to by ensuring:
    • Guests are advised on alcoholic beverages
    • The strengths of alcohol is advised and guests are advised as to their effect
    • Compliance with legal provisions of local liquor codes
    • Level of intoxication of guests is assessed and appropriate action taken
    • Advise guest on the hotel’s policy of smoking
    • Monitor factors which interfere with the total experience of the guest.
    • Communicate all incidents relating to guests to immediate supervisors
  • Prepares for service by ensuring:
    • Grooming is impeccable and in accordance with company’s personal presentation standards
    • Outlet equipment is clean
    • Equipment is sorted and stored
    • Glassware is polished
    • Requirements for special occasions are ready
    • Music is on
    • Lighting is on
    • Outlet is ready for service and guest comfort
  • Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
  • To establish a rapport with guests maintaining great customer relationship.
  • To assist the Restaurant Supervisor in efficiently managing the outlet according to the established concept statement providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times.



  • Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S (Occupational Health & Safety) policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
  • Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
  • Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
  • Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
  • Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirement

Working Hours:

  • 7am to 11pm (Monday to Friday), 12.30pm to 3pm on SUNDAY.
  • 5 day work week
  • Shift work (no overnight)

Job Requirements:

  • Professional Certificate/ NiTEC, Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in F&B Service
  • Friendly and cheerful personality, possess good communication skills
