General Roles & Responsibilities:

  • The coordination and hosting of visits for students and school children per year to the Museum, ranging from pre-school to tertiary
  • The set up and running of docent/volunteer lead guided tours for school children on weekdays and for families on selected public holidays and weekends
  • The setting up and running of public talks on sporting heritage, guided tours, curator’s tours and conferences on selected weekday evenings and weekends
  • Procurement and logistical arrangements for guided tours, school workshops and public programmes, especially large scale programmes
  • Assists with the contents development of the museum's gallery content, publications and other projects
  • Co-ordinates between curatorial and programming logistics
  • Preparation of documents for acquisitions/purchase of services and goods
  • Collating information, liaising with and gathering of quotes from vendors and artists
  • Assisting in overseeing of cargo clearance at airport or port for incoming or outgoing loans if necessary (for temporary/rotational exhibitions)
  • Gathering of information in preparation of meetings or proposal papers
  • Accompanying cargo/artefacts for local transit for small projects or artefacts
  • Handling basic enquiries and providing information on exhibition space and availability
  • Gathering of quotes for air travel and accommodation (for team and for guests/couriers if necessary)
  • Planning of itinerary and handling logistics of visits for couriers/guests – to chaperone them where necessary
  • Handling operational logistics and trouble-shooting / crisis management on the ground
  • Any other duties as assigned


  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree in relevant area, e.g. arts/sports management
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, and within tight
  • project time-lines
  • Interest and awareness of sporting and arts & heritage would be an advantage
