Job Description

  • Analyze financial performance against budgets and support in the preparation of management reports for assigned departments/schools
  • Assist in preparation of reports to management and external organisations
  • Support budget/ forecast submissions by assigned departments/ Schools, support budgetary control (Operating and Capital Budget) including monitoring of fund utilization and performing budget fund transfers. Perform fund transfers for term funds and DART/conference funds
  • Handle queries from users of financial systems and information (from departments/ schools)
  • Act as budget coordinator for some assigned units, doing data entry into budgeting system
  • Assist in working on audit certifications for research/ non-research grants claims (both MOE and external organisations) – checking claims submitted and working with auditors
  • Preparing journals and audit schedules relating to grants
  • Other duties as assigned e.g. account analyses, working on business improvement projects etc.


  • Minimum Diploma in Business/ Accountancy/ IT
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, good in Excel
  • Experience with SAP system and database/ web software will be an advantage
  • Good communication (including listening) skills – both written and spoken
  • Experience in dealing with contracts/ grants claims an advantage
  • Audit experience an advantage
  • Quick learner
