Job Description

We are looking for EUC Engineer for one of our leading IT client in Singapore

 

Salary: SGD 5700-6700/Month

Location: Serangoon North Avenue, Singapore

Job Type: Permanent

 

Position Summary:-

To deploy End User Computing IT Equipment for new building and Wards decanting Projects. The scope for work including:

  • To coordinate with various teams for the schedule & new setup of IT hardware.
  • To assist department key stake users in mock up.
  • To have a checklist template for deployment with status update.
  • To work with various Project IT teams on deployment schedule and actual deployment itself.
  • To work with various Project IT teams to understand the floor map and mark up areas for EUC items deployment.
  • To relocate users from the existing building to the new building.

The relocation activities includes:

  • To plan the IT relocation activities with users.
  • To advise, list down and review the current IT inventory list and walk through the plan with site team. To also advise users on the migration strategy.
  • To be the single point for site team to liaise on all EUC related activities in relation to the move.
  • To provide the overall project management and execution plan for IT related activities before and after the move.
  • To be the single point for the site team to work with.

 

Role and Responsibilities

The EUC Engineer provides technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware and software. He/She responds, documents and resolves service tickets in a timely manner and according to Service Level Agreements. He creates new report templates and formats for new analysis. He interacts with cross functional teams, understands support requirement, performs ad-hoc root cause analysis, develops checklists for typical problems and defines methods for issue resolution and prevention. He is required to be on standby with on-call availability, varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. He understands the service level requirements and strives for continuous service improvement by providing quality technical support to end users.

 

Provide IT Support

  • Provide technical support to users
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis
  • Assist users with hardware and software installations
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Implement New Systems

  • Install hardware equipment, software and maintenance agreements
  • Perform acceptance testing of installed/upgraded equipment
  • Oversee integration, compatibility and continuing operations of systems to ensure minimal disruption

Maintain Systems

  • Organise system activities including planned maintenance events, system backup processes and disaster recovery drills
  • Develop supporting documentation of all activities
  • Research alternates to existing software and hardware

Resolve Issues

  • Coordinate activities to identify, diagnose and rectify problems with little precedence
  • Simulate user problems to resolve operating difficulties
  • Develop innovative solutions and/or systems modifications to reduce user problems
  • Develop mitigating and/or preventive solutions
