Job Description

  • Providing technical assistance to System Engineering Manager by analysing specifications and designs on their ability to meet electromagnetic environmental effects (EEE) requirements.
  • Specific areas of expertise will include experience in the design and verification analysis of EMI/EMC, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Personnel (HERP), and Hazards of Electromagnetic to Ordnance (HERO), Lightning, EMP and High Altitude EMP, Shielding effectiveness and ESD.
  • Also desirable would be familiarity with TEMPEST filter designs and isolation techniques.
  • Experience with military EMC requirements such as Mil-Std 461, Mil-Std 464
  • Additional skills required include a background in E3 testing, including test plan development, test execution and report generation.
  • Ability to make technical decisions and engineering judgments independently within established parameters
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to analyse test data and propose manufacture-able designs
  • Ability to make technical decisions and engineering judgments independently within established parameters
  • Ability and willingness to climb up on chamber and go in tight spaces.
