Deputy Director, Finance

• Responsible for the full set of accounts.
• Ensure internal controls and financial procedures are in compliance 
• Liaise with key management of the research institute on project budgets and budget tracking.
• Assist in providing financial information to senior management.
• Liaise with Internal Auditors/External Auditors/Tax Agents.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting exercise.
• Monitor all funds received 
• Ensure the timely submission of quarterly fund requests for all funds 
• Review the monthly management accounts and audit schedules.
• Prepare Audit Committee (AC) presentation slides and conduct the presentation during AC meeting.
• Review monthly management reports and present financial performance at monthly management meetings.
• Responsible for closing of year-end accounts, statutory audit and annual tax filings.
• Handle any corporate tax issues.
• Review the quarterly GST Return.
• Review withholding tax returns for submission to IRAS.
• Liaise with tax agent on review of tax computation and Form C.
• System administrator for online banking system.
• Liaise with the bank for all banking matters.

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess at least 8 years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to multi-task and deliver results under tight timelines
• Knowledge of SAP system will be advantageous
• Min Degree in Accountancy
