Job Description

Summary

  • Provide patients a positive experience while they are being treated at our dental clinic and support the running of the practice.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Telephone/Email Coverage

  • Answering calls and responding to inquiries
  • Reminder calls for appointment confirmation and rescheduling appointments
  • Reply to patient’s inquiries through email

Registration 

  • Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler with a high rate of accuracy
  • Registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate
  • Check patients’ medical history and drug allergies
  • Check for insurance coverage and intention to use insurance or government subsidies such as CHAS

Collection 

  • Collects payment from patients, applies payments and adjustments to patient accounts in the computer system, and reconciles daily cash reports

Clinic Administration

  • Locating patient files and cases
  • Prepare PowerPoint for doctor counseling
  • Process claims with insurance companies and government agencies e.g. CHAS, Medisave
  • Liaising with dental labs for sending and receiving of cases
  • Recording lab charges and deducting from dentist takings

Financial and Product Counseling

  • Educate and teach patient on correct use of braces, Invisalign,       

Other adhoc duties
