Job Description

Job Purpose

● To act as the primary point of reference and expertise for the entire regulatory compliance in Singapore ie NEA, AVA, MUIS etc

● Support operations and advise on compliance gaps and address issues

● Enhance Sodexo’s reputation as a compliant provider of IFM services

● Support mobilisation of new contracts involving certifications and licenses


●  Establish and maintain proper records and reports of the certifications and licenses to ensure compliant according to regulatory standards.

●  Assist and work with SME and Operations to obtain required certifications and licenses to ensure operational status

●  Develop and oversee control systems to manage risks and violations of legal guidelines (NEA, AVA, Muis and any other regulatory body in Singapore) and internal policies

●  Conduct and assist in audits (internal and external) to ensure conformance and collaborate with site managers and operation leaders

●  Review relevance of processes when necessary to identify compliance issues/ gaps and provide advice or training

●  Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of Sodexo as well as evolving best practices in compliance control

●  Prepare monthly reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate

Required Profile

Minimum 5 – 8 years in IFM industry (Hard and Soft Services including F&B) with Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance or similar

Proven experience as compliance manager in ISO standards and other relevant regulatory certifications

In-depth and hands-on knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations preferably in F&B or services industry

Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping

A business acumen partnered with a diligent mind-set

An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations

Strong interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with, and influence internal stakeholders at all levels

Excellent verbal and written English skills

Highly developed computer skills

Experience in process improvement, including mapping and analysing existing processes, and identifying opportunities for improvement and non-compliances
