Job Description

The Chief Operating Officer will work with shareholders and the CEO to develop the Company’s long- and short-term strategies and will be responsible for the spearheading of the development of the business in term of people, infrastructure, and sales.

Job Description:


  • Work with the CEO to envisage and establish the business strategies and technology roadmap for the Company.
  • Take a leadership role and be accountable for the implementing and overseeing the Company’s business system and operating processes.
  • Oversee the overall technology landscape, including the company’s e-commerce platform, IT infrastructure and security, system enhancement and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement the operation’s action plans including product launch, client outreach, quality management, service excellence and communication.
  • Ensure all data in the system are correct, accurate and up to date at all time.
  • Analyze and identify the high demand products for the e-commerce platform.
  • Oversee the procurement of products and ensure that products are readily available when ordered. 
  • Establish key measurements to monitor progress of business, constantly review business performance against KPIs and to take corrective actions to close gaps.
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders such as government agencies, clients, manufacturers/suppliers, and partners.  
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are developed in each area of the Company’s operation.


  • Develop, track, and control the annual operating and capital budgets for the whole Company including staffing, procurement, and operation.
  • Drive the Company’s financial performance and be accountable for its profitability.
  • Review business weekly and monthly performance reports and take appropriate actions to address gaps and issues.


  • Build a strong team of professionals to manage the different operation areas effectively and efficiently to meet all the established KPIs.
  • Ensure managers review the performance of their teams and develop them to their fullest potential.
  • Monitor and ensure strict adherence to governance and set high professionalism across all functions.
  • Provide clear direction and regular communication sessions to all stakeholders and address any issues and grievance immediately.


  • Develop close collaboration and working relationship with all stakeholders of sister companies.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the CEO or Board of Director.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree/master’s in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of technology experience and at least 5 years in a C-level leadership role. Those with experience in e-commerce technology and operation is preferred.  
  • Strong knowledge and exposure to information computing technology is a pre-requisite. 
  • Must have strong business acumen and proven ability to put forth business cases.
  • Possess good financial knowledge including budgeting and cash flow management.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills with an eye for details.
