Job Description


  • Experience in hand pulled ‘La Mian’ noodles preparation and Chinese cuisine
  • Follow orders and advice instructed by superior and perform job or task with minimal direction or supervision in the most efficient manner
  • Have flexibility, willingness to adjust to the demands of the job, assist kitchen Team Members with their job duties when necessary and willing to work any day of the week and any shift
  • Attend and participate in company trainings, embracing learning opportunities with a positive attitude and adhere to companies’ philosophy
  • Adhere to company policies and statutory requirements with regards to health and safety, sanitation, and fire procedures
  • Maintain high standards of grooming for oneself and subordinates ensuring good customer relations are maintained at all times, in particular when working in the public areas of the hotel
  • Ensure that you report to work on time as per culinary department schedules. Report any sickness or absence from work using the correct procedures.


  • Vocational School or above
  • Diploma or Certificate in Culinary
  • Possess WSQ Basic Food Hygiene certification
  • 4 years or more in La Mian noodle making experience
  • Working knowledge of menu planning, soups, sauces, meat, poultry and seafood items
  • Knowledge of detailed processes in food production, especially preparation of ingredients
  • Working knowledge of point of sales
  • Knowledge in kitchen equipment and monitoring
  • Knowledge in basic hygiene and sanitation practices
  • Able to perform all basic kitchen task and can train junior staff
  • Have a well-groomed, professional appearance
  • Able to work inside and continuously manoeuvre in and around all the Kitchens.
