Job Scope:

  • In charge of assisting Head Chef in cooking Western and Local cuisines
  • Ordering of stock
  • Doing basic food cost calculation
  • Planning of staff rosters
  • Lead the team at events
    • Checking to ensure all items are brought
    • Briefing the team-on-duty
    • Liaising with logistics personnel on departure/pickup timing
  • Assist Head Chef in food preparation and cooking of items for events catering jobs
  • Understand menus and recipes and implement SOPs set out by Head Chef to ensure food consistency
  • Train younger cooks/chefs to assist at events for buffet table
  • Setup, laying out of food, live station duties, and making canapés
  • Daily mise-en-place
  • Dishwashing duties
  • Washing up and mopping of kitchen to keep it clean in accordance to regulations
  • Assist with logistics and packing for catering jobs

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of relevant kitchen experience
  • Possessing of a Class 3 driving licence a plus
  • Must have valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
