Job Description

US firm with manufacturing operation

Semiconductor equipment automation industry


  • Report to Senior Purchasing Manager, the Buyer will be responsible for buying and inventory management of assigned commodities (mechanical, electrical, components) 
  • Issue Purchase Orders in a timely manner to suppliers and follow up on delivery orders
  • Check inventory / stock level to ensure optimum stock level is maintained
  • Monitor supplier in areas of delivery, pricing and commitment 
  • Maintain accurate ERP records, quote, and item master
  • Maintain accurate delivery information in the ERP system and in alignment with MRP requirements
  • Manage returns and repair process for commitments for assigned commodity



  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management
  • Minimum 3 years of purchasing, buying or commodity management of components / parts in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with PR-PO processes, supplier management and negotiation skills
  • Hands on, detail oriented, proactive, results driven and hands on
  • Experience in MRP, PLM system and Agile preferred. Strong Excel skills
