Business Development Manager/ Director (creative agency)
This is a pivotal role in a buzzing creative agency - new business acquisition & retention, grow & secure new accounts with effective marketing & presentation of the agency’s solutions & services.
To score this role, you must be well-versed in the presentation of creative services, & thrive on the thrill of a juicy deal closed. An agency background will stand you in good stead. Of necessity in your arsenal: a clear sales strategy & a not-so-little black book of ready contacts.
Secure & negotiate new client contracts (mainly MNCs & branded bigwigs, no government projects)
Strategize, develop & execute business development plans
Negotiate strong client contracts, maximise volume & profit margins, build up company clout & reputation
Consistently grow & retain accounts by presenting new solutions & services
An experienced self-starter with a good network of clients & leads
Strong preference for candidates with a background working in agencies
Strength in networking & developing new areas of business development
Thorough knowledge/ experience in agency workflow (skilled at communicating with the account servicing & creative teams) & creative services
Empathy to connect, coupled with a strong business acumen & market knowledge
Resourceful, with strong communication & presentation skills
