Job Description

Business Development Executive

A business development professional has four primary responsibilities:

1.  Identifying new sales leads

2.  Pitching products and/or services

3.  Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers / clients.

4.  Look out for business opportunity

When it comes to generating leads, duties include:

·  Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings

·  Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives

·  Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events

·  Develops and implements strategies to execute the business plan to achieve desired results (i.e., to increase client base, retention for key positions, improve overall business flow, Portfolio Management assets, etc.)

·  Opportunity to conduct seminars, prepare & conduct presentation to potential clients

·  Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential clients & exploring opportunities

·  Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities & networking group.

When it comes to sales activities, duties include:

·  Understanding the client needs and the objective

·  Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s services/products

·  Objection Handling by phone, email, and in person

·  Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met

To be an effective business development executive, an individual must be:

·  Socially adept

·  Working Attitude & Learning Attitude is a MUST

·  Independent

·  Willing to step into uncomfortable zone constantly

·  Excellent time management and organization

·  Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations


·  Local Diploma or Degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Marketing/Communications/Engineering or equivalent 1-2 years’ experience in relevant field of study

·  Strong ethics, with a customer-oriented attitude

·  Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to foster long-term relationships

·  Ability to perform under stress and tight deadlines
