Backend Developer

Responsibilities:

• Able to deliver and deploy high-quality, high performance products in a rapid, hands-on Agile environment
• Good verbal, written communication skills
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to collaborate and understand software requirements
• Dynamic, motivated, willing to try new things, always with a can-do attitude
• Self-starter who can work independently or part of a larger team
• Design and build unit tests, as part of test driven development
• Provide UAT Support and carry out Deployment

Requirements:

• Experience in Java development eg. Java, Scala, J2EE, JSON, JavaScript, Spring MVC, Hibernate
• Experience in using FIX engines (e.g. CameronFIX, Quick FIX) and FIX protocols
• Proficient with the use of Relational Databases (MSSQL, Maria DB)
• Proficient in Design and Development of REST/SOAP APIs
• Experience with Java Application Servers (Apache Tomcat, Jetty, WebSphere/WebLogic)
• Experience with secure (SSL/TLS) communication protocols
• Experience in Websphere MQ, JMS and SSH will be advantageous
• Knowledge of treasury products such as equities, FX, options will be advantageous
• Competency in agile methodologies e.g. Scrum
• Strong Documentation Skills
