Job Description

Job Brief
• Work with end users to obtain purchase requirements, source, recommend and negotiate with best possible prices with suppliers and service providers
• Implement sound purchasing policies, systems and procedures in accordance with Company standards.
• Monitor vendors for quality, service and price through standard purchasing specifications.
• Establish and negotiate all contracts to ensure reduced pricing for all operating areas of the hotel.
• Receives market list from the Executive Chef on a daily basis and arranges for delivery of those items daily.
• Ensures & verifies that quotations are regularly updated and supplier’s new current price lists are maintained.
• Verifies that all documentation and proper quotations are maintained and filed.
• Covering the duties of receiving hosts and manages the beverage store as and when required.
• Ensures that all authorised or approved purchase orders are sent to their respective suppliers/vendors for delivery purposes on a daily basis.
• Assist Purchasing Manager for Pre-opening purchases for new hotel.
• Carry out any other duties as and when assigned.

Qualification/ Experience Required
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma
• Minimum 3 years working experience in hotel purchasing
• A team player with positive work attitude and ability to perform under pressure
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties
• Possess good working attitude with a high degree of professional integrity
• Able to commence work immediately or short notice is an advantage
