Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Support to kit-out the sub-Lab and outfit a highly functional and low-friction workflow sub-Lab to support the programmes’ activities - these include electronics workbenches and equipment; analog and digital system testing equipment; hardware design and analysis equipment; PCB design, prototyping and fabrication stations; analyzers and measurement instruments; integration, experimentation and testing environments; CAD; embedded applications development environments; and resource centre
  • Support, build and operate the respective sub-Lab, provide deep engineering expertise and support services in experimentation, design, engineering, prototyping and production
  • Own and drive the Lab’s innovation and/or incubator programmes, lead a multi-disciplinary team to work closely with the other sub-Labs, managers and participants of the group’s innovation and incubator programmes across the whole development process from concept to market
  • Support and drive in-house fabrication and assembly of turnkey prototypes. Extend prototypes to small-scale production builds of 100s of units with internal and external resources
  • Be responsible for any other ad-hoc jobs and/or duties that are so assigned to you

Knowledge/ Skills/ Competencies Required (if applicable)
  • A good Electronics and Electrical Engineering graduate Degree (or equivalent) from a reputable university. Post-graduate degree in any discipline a plus
  • 6 years of experience in electronics and electrical system design, integration, experimentation, prototyping, and testing; including 1 year of shop, lab or fabrication experience, including building, managing and running a prototyping, or R&D shop and/ or small scale manufacturing team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to communicate concepts and solutions effectively
  • Experience with similar day-to-day operations - projects and their schedule and budget
  • Take great pride in personal quality of work
  • Ability to work collaboratively in highly dynamic teams and across various disciplines
  • Ability to communicate financial and programme details effectively across to staff and senior management
  • Demonstrated ability in building and operating engineering laboratories, and supporting multi-disciplinary team in innovation and/or incubator programmes across the whole development process from concept to market to achieve outstanding results
