Job Description

Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager, Compensation and Benefits, will be part of the team to run the day-to-day operations to support the businesses in their daily operation. In addition there is a need to ensure that the overall Compensation and Benefits strategy is aligned with the Company’s business strategy and compliant to the legal and statutory regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Compensation:
  • Review of compensation to ensure that it is competitive to the market and at the same time align to the business strategy
  • Partner the HR Partners and other HR stakeholders in salary reviews and preparation of salary proposals
  • Conduct on-going analysis and review of the compensation administration processes. Research and make recommendation for continuous process enhancements
  • Implement and communicate compensation processes and policies
  • Oversee the day to day compensation activities including the management of Team Member Awards
  1. Benefits:
  • Case management (WICA, Insurance Claim etc.)
  • Keep up on current benefits market trends, taking a proactive approach to gather and analyze cost and benefits
  • Review benefits programs and analyze their effectiveness and competitiveness
  • Facilitates all benefits related information and communications with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct on-going analysis and review of the benefits administration processes. Research and make recommendation for continuous process enhancements
  1. Policy and SOP Administration:
  • Manage the Policy Library to ensure that policies and SOPs are up to date
  • Formulation and continuous review of policies and SOPs to align with the Company’s Total Rewards and Wellness strategies
  1. Others:
  • Participate in special projects and key activities, including but not limited to compensation & benefits audits and benefits remarketing
  • Prepare Compensation and Benefits budget and forecast
  • Review of Company’s budget positions

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Certification

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or any related discipline

 

Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in Compensation and Benefits
  • Well versed in legislative guidelines, best practices and market trends in employee health benefits and wellness provisions
  • Experience in carrying out salary and benefit reviews and surveys (job evaluation experience will be an added advantage)
  • Experience in developing and delivering communications and presentations related on Compensation and Benefits programs
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision

Competencies

  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Meticulous and strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
