Job Description

Job Objective:

  • Assist with shipment and local transportation arrangements, and provide necessary documents to ensure smooth and timely shipping operations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate with carrier/freight forwarders for deliveries and shipments of raw materials from suppliers and finished goods to customers according to the shipping schedule, and verify freight/local transport/insurance invoices
  • Work with the Accounts department to monitor payments and invoices to determine the release of cargo to customers
  • Handle direct shipments of raw materials from suppliers to customers, and small-packaging finished goods from the company’s/partner’s overseas warehouses to customers
  • Prepare, manage and file shipping documents (e.g. Import Permits, Export Permits) according to SOPs and requirements
  • Work with the Warehouse Supervisor to co-ordinate shipment of finished products, and provide updates (e.g. Shipment Advice) to customers
  • Arrange transportation for local delivery orders and overseas couriers
  • Update ISO Stuffing List to facilitate ISO audits

 

Job Specifications:

Minimum education qualifications:

  • GCE ‘N’ Levels or equivalent

Minimum years of experience:

  • Fresh graduates are welcomed
  • 1 year of working experience preferred

Key job-specific competency requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of shipping and logistics processes an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of Global Harmonised System and TradeNet an advantage
  • Willingness to learn
  • Highly meticulous and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills
