ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (MAILROOM & DELIVERY) - EAST CAMPUS

UWC South East Asia is member of the UWC movement and a K-12 international school in Singapore. The school provides a challenging, holistic education to more than 5,500 students based across two campuses. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (MAILROOM & DELIVERY) - EAST


Job Responsibilities

  • Franking mails and despatch mail to and from post office
  • Collect and distribute mail internally and between campuses in a timely and prompt manner
  • Maintain and keep detailed records for all incoming and outgoing mail/packages
  • Perform bank errands or any other off-campus travel duties as necessary
  • Deliver incoming goods, printing materials and stationery by foot to user departments
  • Ensure that mailroom never run short of materials required for posting mails such as postage stamps, envelopes, and markers
  • Maintain a good relationship with courier agencies to ensure that they are readily available when the need for their services arises
  • Answer customers’ questions related to postage rates, safety, and duration of delivery
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality in handling mails
  • Ability to work in warm, humid environment
  • To undertake other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • GCE ‘O’/’N’ Levels with 2 years relevant experience
  • Candidates without experience but with good attitude may be considered
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 15 kilograms, should expect constant bending, stooping and crouching, and requires full extension of arms, grasping, holding, and pulling in all of these positions
  • Possess Class 2B/3 driving licence with good driving records
  • Be able to walk briskly for up to 6 hours a day
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team, and is reliable and trustworthy
  • Excellent team player with positive working attitude
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic PC literacy, must be able to use Microsoft Office productivity software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
