Finance Manager

Marketing Institute of Singapore Mountbatten Road Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance team(s) and oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting activities for the MIS group and associated companies

• Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company

• Supervise the finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures • Preparation of bi-monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting

• Tracking cash flow, fund flow, analyzing strengths and weaknesses to propose corrective action plans when necessary

• Reviewing financial statements or other reports to identify potential risks or issues

• Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities for staff to expand both their capacity and capability

• Advise colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company’s finances

• Prepare annual workplan and budget. Coordinate and work with other Head of Department to produce consolidated annual budget for presentation during Strategic meeting

• Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts • Look into strengthening current internal control and process improvement

• Liaising with external auditors and tax agents

• Support the full spectrum of Human Resource (HR) functions which includes recruitment, learning and development, appraisal and employee’s relation. Ensure compliance with MOM regulations and other related authority by HR personnel

• Any other duties assigned


Qualification/Requirements

• Minimum ACCA or equivalent qualifications in related disciplines; CPA a plus

• 5-8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis

• Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships

• Commercial and business acumen

• Good communication skills – both written and verbal

• A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data

• Ability to stick to time constraints

• Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
