  • To play a key role in Corporate Communication (Public Relation) for the dealer in Singapore
  • To support and execute strategy for communicating externally to media regarding Brand products brand, marketing activities, design, and technologies in support of the company's sales goals
  • To foster a strong partnership with the Brand Principal to establish each product's key messages, image, and reputation in the marketplace, and increase consumer and opinion leader awareness through media relations

 

1. Support and Execute a Public Relation strategy for the dealership – new cars, used cars and aftersale

  • Work together with the team to develop, support and execute Public Relation strategy and business objectives with Brand Principal, Assistant/Marketing Manager and General Manager – Marketing
  • Ensure agreed action plans are implemented accordingly to achieve short and long-term sales objectives for the dealership

2. Media monitoring, database, reporting and analysis of Public Relation efforts

  • Ensure timely reporting to Brand Principal, HODs, General Manager – Marketing and Managing Director
  • Establish processes to monitor media clippings and articles
  • Ensure media database is kept relevant and accurate
  • Establish processes to analyse Public Relation efforts based on data collected i.e. Test Drive efforts, Public Relation Value, etc

3. Media Liaison

  • Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with journalists and influencers, ambassadors, and celebrities.
  • Arrange requested test-drives for journalists & other approved parties.
  • Attend and address media requests, collate necessary details and evaluate potential positive/negative effects/impacts to the brand and company.
  • Demonstrate product features to journalists to facilitate understanding of new model products, especially USPs in conjunction with assistance from Product Ambassadors.
  • Updating and maintaining quality media database.
  • Address traffic offences or any damages sustained on press vehicles with responsible journalists

4.Responsible for entire press fleet, fleet requirements, preparation, and administration

  • Maintain movement/test drive logs of press vehicles, maximizing utilization.
  • Ensure vehicles prepared for media usage are in pristine condition, cleaned, vacuumed, fueled up and audited by Aftersales team before handovers.
  • Liaison with Aftersales on any servicing issues or repairs required for press vehicles.
  • Where required, drive to petrol station for fuel top-up and arranging car washes.
  • Ensure necessary administration with journalists are completed, tracked and filed accurately.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders on the approval and use of press car test drives scheduled for media via internal system.

5.Coordination for media initiatives and events

  • Ensure Public Relation communications are in line with Brand CI and approved by the Brand Principal
  • Media support and attendance at events/launches and coordination of RSVP
  • Administration duties & coordination with relevant parties for interviews, vetting of press releases and event coordination.

6.Ambassador for the brand

  • Ensure media feedback, enquiries and requests via all platforms (social media, email, in-person) are acted upon promptly and within the Brand guidelines
  • Coordinate with the respective departments to ensure all media enquiries are addressed
  • To process a customer-first attitude and ensure that he/she is abreast of consumer and industry trends and product knowledge

7.Acts as a contact person for internal and external partner

  • Acts as a contact person for internal and external partner

8.Ad-hoc

  • Any other duties assigned by management from time to time

Job Requirement

  • Degree or equivalent in Mass Communications, Business or any related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with media monitoring systems will be an added advantage
  • Passion in Automotive
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills § Meticulous, detail focused and well-organised with the ability to multitask under pressure
  • Experience in automotive industry will be an added advantage
